Berners Lee, 48, was named in the New Year’s Honers list for “services to the Internet”---creating the system that has revolutionized computer use across the world.

He designed the system in his spare time in 1991 while working as a researcher at the European research laboratory Cern, which is based in Switzerland.

Instead of patenting the system or restricting its use, Berners Lee gave away his invention, making it possible for the Web to grow at fast rate.

I really like going to the symphony. I like to hear all the musical instruments playing different things but somehow, they’re still playing together and in harmony. I especially like the violin—it’s my favorite instrument.

B:

I don’t know why, but the songs from musicals are so popular. For example, I sometimes find myself singing the chorus to “Edelweiss” while I’m doing things around the house. I guess it’s because the tunes are so accessible and delicate.
